MOCK AUDITION

Eligibility

Any tenor trombone, bass trombone, euphonium, or tuba student currently in high school.

Repertoire

A work of the student's choice

This can be a piece of solo repertoire (one movement maximum from multi-movement works) or an etude of similar scope.

Piano accompaniment is not required for accompanied works.

Requirements

An unedited video with the camera focused on the performer

Videos with multiple camera angles will not be accepted.

The work of the student's choice and each individual excerpt 

can be recorded separately

Submissions must be submitted by 6pm CST on March 12th.

Applicants must be registered for Spring Forward before this deadline 

Late registrants will not be considered 

 

Prizes

1st Prize: $100

2nd Prize: $50

3rd Prize: Free Registration for the ILBI event of your choice!

 

All prize winners will be offered the chance to work with

Guest Artist Allen Tinkham in a masterclass during Spring Forward!
 

Submission Process

Applicants must submit recordings by 6pm CST on March 5th

Applicants should submit their recordings in an email to illinoislowbrassinstitute@gmail.com

Services such as Google Drive and Dropbox are encouraged

If using these services, please make sure the sharing settings allow for viewing. If we can't access your recordings, we can't judge them!

Results will be announced on March 14th!
